Troopers seize 2 guns, Rx pills in Hancock County

HANCOCK COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A West Virginia woman is facing multiple charges after authorities seized weapons and prescription pills following a traffic stop in Hancock County.

Troopers stopped a possible impaired driver on U.S. Route 224 Saturday at 9:56 p.m. Upon stopping the vehicle, the occupants switched seats. Criminal indicators were observed and a Hancock County Sheriff's Office drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle.

A probable cause search revealed two handguns and nine Alprazolam pills.

Lindsay Morrison, of Huntington, WV, was incarcerated in the Hancock County Justice Center. She has been charged with two counts of improper transportation of a weapon in a motor vehicle, which are fourth-degree felonies, as well as possession of Alprazolam, which is a third-degree misdemeanor.
