Driver runs stop sign, 1 flown to hospital

A driver failed to stop at a stop sign, leading to a crash with injuries, according to the State Highway Patrol.

WEST UNITY, OH (Toledo News Now) - A driver was flown to the University of Toledo Medical Center Friday afternoon following a serious wreck in Brady Township.

According to the Defiance Post of the State Highway Patrol, Katrina Bladen, 41, of Kunkle, Ohio, ran a stop sign at the intersection of County Road 19-50 and County Road K.

Bladen's 2005 Pontiac Bonnevillle collided with a 2005 Honda Pilot, driven by 61-year-old Kathleen Moreau of Bryan, Ohio.

Moreau's vehicle struck a tree. She was transported by EMS to the Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, then later flown to UTMC via Promedica Life-Flight.

An update on her condition has yet been released.

Bladen was not seriously injured.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

The crash remains under investigation.
