The Cleveland Indians 2013 Home Opener, on April 8 at 4:05 p.m. against the New York Yankees, is SOLD OUT, marking the 21st consecutive home opener sellout and the 20th at Progressive Field, which opened in 1994.

The game sold out in 6 minutes, one of the fastest sellouts in Indians history. Since the Indians in 2009 moved the public on-sale date to Spring, Opening Day sellouts have become official on March 30 (2009), April 8 (2010), March 24 (2011) and March 15 (2012), another reflection of the heightened attention for 2013.

Fans wanting to attend 2013 Opening Day -- which marks the Indians' 113th year as a charter member of the American League -- still can secure tickets by purchasing full-season ticket packages, which offer the best value and greatest savings over single-game ticket prices.

New this year for Season Ticket holders is Tribe Rewards, which offers customizable, unique benefits that include throwing a ceremonial first pitch, batting practice experiences and joining Tom Hamilton and Jim Rosenhaus in the radio booth, among other opportunities.

Season Ticket holders also can utilize FanPass paperless ticketing, which provides more savings and allows ticket buyers to easily and securely manage and distribute tickets online and use their credit cards as entry into the ballpark.

For fans interested in season, group or party-area tickets for the 2013 season, the Indians will hold a select-a-seat event at Progressive Field on Saturday, March 16. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and offers fans the ability to test drive available seats and an autographed Indians player photo for every season or group ticket purchase.

Seats still are available for the remainder of the Indians' first homestand, which continues with three games against the Yankees April 9-11 at 7:05 p.m., three against the Chicago White Sox (April 12, 7:05 p.m.; April 13, 4:05 p.m.; April 14, 1:05 p.m.) and three against the Boston Red Sox (April 16-18, 7:05 p.m.).

Other top-selling games for the upcoming season include:

· Monday, May 20 vs. Seattle (Weather Education Day)

· Friday, May 31 vs. Tampa Bay (Sugardale Dollar Dog, fireworks presented by Wayside Furniture)

· Saturday, June 1 vs. Tampa Bay (Albert Belle bobblehead)

· Friday, June 14 vs. Washington, (Sugardale Dollar Dog, fireworks presented by Wayside Furniture)

· Saturday, August 10 vs. Los Angeles Angels (Rock N' Blast presented by Progressive Insurance, Rocky Colavito Replica Hall of Fame plaque and 80th birthday celebration)

Full-season and single-game tickets are available at Indians.com, any Cleveland Indians Team Shop (Progressive Field, SouthPark Mall in Strongsville, The Strip in Canton and Westgate Mall in Fairview Park) or by calling 216-420-HITS.

In addition to a magnet schedule giveaway presented by Progressive Insurance on Opening Day, the Indians' 2013 promotional schedule features Albert Belle and Omar Vizquel bobbleheads, four player jersey giveaways (Nick Swisher, Michael Bourn, Jason Kipnis and Michael Brantley), 15 Sugardale Dollar Dog nights and 16 fireworks displays.
