Walleye prepare pink rink for upcoming event

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The Toledo Walleye hockey team will play two Pink in the Rink games this year on Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3. Crews stayed up late Sunday, February 24 to paint the ice.

The event is also sponsored by ProMedica Cancer Institute, and money will go toward breast cancer awareness through Susan G. Komen for the Cure of Northwest Ohio.

Players will wear pink jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game.

Fans are also invited to wear pink and participate in pink giveaways all weekend long.

The Walleye play The Evansville Icemen on March 2 and the Trenton Titans on March 3. Tickets are available for a discounted price of $13. Fans can purchase tickets to both games for just $24 (only $12 each)! Get more information and buy tickets.
