Lucas County Republicans had a special guest at their biggest event of the year, the Lincoln Day Dinner. Fresh off of his State of the State speech, Governor John Kasich pushed his budget plan.

He first spoke about coming into office with an $8 billion deficit and turning it around to over a billion dollars in the rainy day fund. Additionally, he said 120,000 new jobs were added.

Ha also spoke of tax cuts to small businesses to bring even more employment to the Buckeye State. Lastly, he touched on school funding and Medicaid reform.

While the majority of the speech reiterated points in the State of the State address, Kasich did discuss the success of the North Baltimore intermodal hub.
