Driver strikes utility pole in Hancock County

HANCOCK COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The Hancock County Sheriff's Office is investigating a crash with injuries early Sunday morning.

According to Sgt. Mike Cortez, a driver in the west bound lane of US 224 lost control of his vehicle around 3:24 am.

The driver, identified as 26-year-old Tyler Topel of Findlay, struck a utility pole.

Sheriffs say Topel was transported to the emergency room of Blanchard Valley Regional Health Care Center.

His injuries were not life-threatening, and he was later released.

The cause of the accident has not yet been released.
