TIPTON, MI (Toledo News Now) - Hundreds of dollars are missing from a Lenawee County restaurant and the person responsible is caught on camera. Now officials need the public's help to identify him.

He tried to cover his face but officials are hoping someone will still recognize something from surveillance video.

It happened Monday shortly after 3 a.m. at the Patriot Pub & Grub located at 6400 West U.S. Route 12 in Tipton, MI.

The man responsible pried his way into the restaurant with a bandana covering his face. He looks through the cash register and other drawers behind the bar with what looks like a crowbar in his hand. After taking what detectives believe was at least $800, he flees the scene. Officials say he was the only one who entered the restaurant. However, they believe a car was outside waiting for him to get away.

The suspect is described as a white male with a medium build, wearing a hooded jacket with a stocking type cap and dark-framed glasses.

Anyone with information is urged to contact CrimeStopper of Lenawee by calling 517-266-6161 or 877-276-8477, or texting to 27436 starting the tip with "Lenawee."
