Five arrested in Wood County prostitution sting

ROSSFORD, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Five people were arrested in a solicitation and prostitution vice operation in Wood County Tuesday night.

The Wood County Sheriff's office says it worked with the Rossford Police Department, Perrysburg Township Police and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation to conduct the operation at a Rossford area hotel.

Arrested were:

  • Tony R. Pendergraff, 36, of Oregon, Ohio – Solicitation
  • Demario A. Hartfield, 32, of Toledo, Ohio – Solicitation
  • James P. Thompson, 49, of Temperance, Michigan – Solicitation
  • Morgan D. Morris, 20, of Monroe, Michigan – Solicitation
  • Thomas W. Welch, 26, of Toledo, Ohio - Complicity to Solicitation

    Sometimes to get through life’s toughest moments, what you need most is a friend. For one brave girl, that friendship was found in a Wauseon firefighter. Brooklen is an 11-year-old girl who was born with schizencephaly, a form of cerebral palsy.
