EDITORIAL: Josie’s Bucket List

(Toledo News Now) – This seems to be my week for identifying people doing kind things for complete strangers.

Earlier I told you about Dan Tierney who helped my wife after a car accident. Now we have reality TV star Scott Disick stopping on his way to Paris to see a local woman, Josie Langsdorf.

Ms. Langsdorf has lung cancer and is publicly working her way through a bucket list, which is posted on Twitter. She wanted to meet Mr. Disick. Now she has.

He spent a couple of hours with her and others and even gave her a Rolex watch. Mr. Disick's kindness is totally out of line with the character he portrays on "Keeping up with the Kardashians," yet when he found about the request he quickly and graciously fulfilled Josie's wish.

It's nice to take a moment and recognize kindness, especially since we find so much time to talk about all of the ugly stuff.

Read about Josie's story here.

The recent decision of ProMedica's Board of Trustees to enter into a transfer agreement with Capital Care Network, Toledo's last remaining abortion facility, just doesn't make sense.
