(WTOL) -

A few areas of light, patchy fog and haze early this morning.

Partly sunny skies as we welcome many schools back into the new school year.  Temperatures will be in the middle 60s through daybreak.

Dry weather into the afternoon with highs reaching into the low and middle 80s.

ALERT DAY Thursday:  it will be very humid with scattered thunderstorms.  A few stronger storms will be possible as early as midday. This very well may impact the bus stop and after school activities.

Dry weather returns for Friday and most of the weekend.  A slim chance of an isolated rain shower on Saturday with partly sunny skies on Sunday.  Highs this weekend will be near 80 degrees.

The early outlook for partial solar eclipse viewing is mostly sunny and warm.
