PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Two women have been arrested in connection with an undercover prostitution sting at a Phoenix message parlor, police said.

Esmeralda Canidate was booked into jail on various charges, including money laundering and maintaining a house of prostitution.

Zondra Bell was booked on prostitution and maintaining a house of prostitution, among other charges.

Vice enforcement detectives received a complaint on Aug. 23 from a Phoenix Police Department Cactus Park Precinct Community Action officer that a massage business in the 13,000 block of North 35th Drive was operating as a house of prostitution, a court document stated.

Detectives set up a undercover operation targeting C & C Salon and Day Spa. On several occasions from August to October, undercover detectives posed as customers in attempts to solicit acts of prostitution.

In one of the encounters, detectives asked Bell what kind of "deals" she performed, the court document said. She told him $60, $80, $150 and $200. The detective backed out of the deal and left, court paperwork stated.

The most recent incident occurred on Oct. 7, when a police detective made a deal with one of the other salon employees for a message and sex act for $90 total, court paperwork said. The detective backed out.
