LAKE TOWNSHIP, OH (Toledo News Now) - Many questions are still left unanswered after three people, including a small child, were killed in a deadly shooting in Lake Township. Three others were injured. The violence has a community reeling.

Police say suspect Jorge Duran Jr., 24, shot and killed Amber Jones, 26, and their 3-year-old son, Jorge Duran III, after a recent break-up. According to police, Duran showed up at Jones' apartment to pick up his son and fatally shot her. Police say he then took his son to another complex where Jones' possible new boyfriend lived and knocked on the door. When the door opened, Duran barged in and started shooting, wounding three people inside, plus killing his son.

A number of residents who lived near Jones initially thought kids were setting off fireworks. They never suspected gunfire.

"I saw [this] dude [who] had his kid or whatever and he was trying to run toward this way. I heard a bunch more shooting. One dude wasn't really down yet, he was still shooting back at the cops. And then the cops obviously got him, eventually," explained Skyler Short.

Neighbors of Jones' new boyfriend, a shooting victim who is currently in critical condition, described the scene as gunfire and chaos in the parking lots as the final events of the night unfolded.

"It looked like he was covered in blood and he was running in that direction and I saw cops come. And I didn't see where he went from there," said Mariah Ward.

Neighbors say they are shocked that Duran would do something like this.

"He looked like a nice guy, he sounded like a nice guy, he would do anything for anybody, help anybody he could," said Michael Williams of Duran.

A neighbor who chose not to be identified said she spotted a possible sign of trouble on Facebook just days before the shooting.  The neighbor says she saw an angry comment made by the suspect's sister on a photo of Jones and her new boyfriend on Monday.
