FULTON COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) - An investigation is under way after a married, but separated, couple is found dead in Fulton County. Officials are treating it as a murder-suicide.

Katie Glassner, 24, and her estranged husband Justin Roberts, 30, were found dead at Roberts' home in the 2000 block of County Road 6 Saturday night.

Deputies found them after getting a call to check on their safety.

Family members say the two recently married in May, but separated near the end of July.

Officials are treating the case as a murder-suicide, but say the investigation is not over yet.

"There are some follow-up that need to be done on some other phone calls that were made to the office. Once we get those phone calls tracked down, statements made, we'll put everything together and do what we need to do," explained Roy Miller, chief deputy in Fulton County.

It is the type of investigation Fulton County officials do not do often.

"Normally it's a pretty quiet community. Out in that area, you know, Fulton County, in general, is pretty quiet," said Miller.

Neighbors were shocked to hear what happened.

"It hit pretty close to home," said Tom Krause, who lives nearby. "You just don't expect things like that around here."

Krause has lived in his home for more than 20 years and says this is the worst thing he has heard about in the area.

Investigators found a 22-caliber rifle and a knife at the scene, but are waiting on autopsy results to release any information on how they died. Reports are expected within the next few days.
