2 arrested, charged after Monroe, MI armed robbery

MONROE TOWNSHIP, MI (Toledo News Now) – The Monroe County Sheriff's Office reported an armed robbery Tuesday in Monroe Township, MI.

On Tuesday just before 7:25 p.m., Monroe County Deputy Sheriffs responded to the Stop and Run convenience store located at 2062 South Custer Road in Monroe Township.

The cashier reported a masked female suspect entered the store and approached the front counter. The suspect took out a handgun and demanded money from the cash register. The cashier complied and the suspect left the store on foot. She tucked the handgun into her pants' waistband as she fled the scene.

No one else was in the store at the time of the robbery.

Deputy Sheriffs took two suspects into custody shortly after the incident and lodged them in the Monroe County Jail.

Angela Marie Anthony, 32, and Loralei Nicole Longan, 26, have been charged with armed robbery. They were both arraigned in First District Court of Monroe where their bonds were set at $75,000 each.
