MSP release victims' names in Blissfield murders

BLISSFIELD, MI (TOLEDO NEWS NOW) - Michigan State Police have confirmed that the victims in the Blissfield double murder are 34-year-old Amy Merrill and her younger sister, 24-year-old Lisa Gritzmaker.

The MSP along with Blissfield Police Department and Lenawee County Sheriff's Office have been investigating the homicide that happened in Blissfield on Friday around 11:40 p.m.

Blissfield Police say they responded to a 911 call made by one of the victims and upon arrival found three people shot.

The sisters were pronounced dead at the scene and their mother was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are currently searching for 38-year-old Thomas Jack Fritz of Sylvania. He is described as a white male, 5''9'', 186 lbs with brown hair and blue eyes. He is a person of interest and is wanted for questioning.

Fritz was last seen driving a burgundy or maroon, 2002 Honda with an Ohio license plate number of EQP8075.

Fritz may somewhere in Ohio and is believed to be armed and dangerous.

If anyone sees Fritz or his vehicle they are asked to call the police at 517-241-8000 or call 911.
