Police receive 24 calls to Casino since grand opening

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) – Toledo Police have received 24 calls to Hollywood Casino Toledo since it opened in May.

Police say most of the calls are similar to the type of call they would get from a bar, such as disorderly conduct, fights, assault and theft.   Most of the calls occurred in the early morning hours.

While most calls are fairly routine, one casino visitor was arrested for cocaine position last week.

Police say someone found 41-year-old Melissa Wishon's wallet in the casino.  When they handed it over to security officials, cocaine was found inside.  When Wishon returned to claim the wallet she was arrested.

Casino customers say they are happy with the security at Hollywood Casino Toledo.

"There are all kinds of people in there monitoring the machines and the people so it's pretty safe for people to come down here and enjoy themselves," said one visitor Thursday.
