TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Hollywood Casino Toledo made more than $20 million in June, its first full month of operation.

Statistics released Monday show the Casino is also getting more slot machine play than the Horseshoe Casino in Cleveland.

In the month of June, gamblers put $195 millions into Toledo slot machines.  That is compared to $160 million at Horseshoe Cleveland.

Hollywood's slot machines also pay out more than in Cleveland, 95 percent to 88 percent respectively.

"The casino has to pay 85 cents or higher, but it may chose to set certain games to payout theoretically at 87 cents, 91 cents, or whatever and makes that choice based on how it runs its business and what it thinks is the best way to attract customers," said Peter Silverman of the Ohio Gaming Commission.

Although Toledo is receiving and paying out more money from slots, Horseshoe Casino Cleveland is slightly more profitable, banking about $26 million in June.
