Bedford Township murder suspect turns himself in

BEDFORD TOWNSHIP, MI (Press Release) - The Monroe County Sheriff's Office had previously reported a homicide that occurred on June 30, at North Town Meadows Manufactured Home Community located in Bedford Township.

The Monroe County Deputy Sheriff's Department had responded to the North Town Meadows Manufactured Home Community at 6255 S. Telegraph Rd. Erie, MI- Bedford Twp. in reference to a suspicious 911 call.

Preliminary investigation revealed the victim, identified as Darrin M. Flynn, 43, of Toledo, OH, had been at the residence, and attacked by the suspect who stabbed the victim multiple times.

Flynn exited the residence, and collapsed on the deck, bleeding profusely from the injuries suffered during the incident. Flynn was transported to St. Vincent's Medical Center in Toledo Ohio, where he later died.

On Monday, July 2, Alexander Robert Tucker, 25, of Erie, MI turned himself in to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office Detectives without incident.

Tucker is currently in the Monroe County Jail, and is scheduled to be arraigned July 3 in the First District Court of Monroe.

The investigation continues by the Monroe County Sheriff's Office Detective Bureau.

    Sylvania police are searching for a man who has been missing since Wednesday. Police say 82-year-old Charles Fackelman was last seen at the VFW Post 2898 on west Alexis Road in Toledo around 8 p.m. Fackelman is described as a white male standing at five feet five inches and weighing 158 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes.
