TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - Toledo Police confirm four people were shot at Remy's Gentlemen's Club on Matzinger in north Toledo.

One person was reportedly shot in the face. Four people in total were shot and taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to survive. The victims are Keshawn Jennings, James Moore, Sean Johnson and Terrill Bennett.

The club's manager says Remy's refused to let a group of known troublemakers inside. A fight then broke out in the parking lot, leading to a shootout between rival gangs.

There was more than one gun involved because police found different calibers of shell casings. In all, 20 to 25 rounds were fired.

The shooting is one of several that are likely gang-related and happened within a 24-hour period. The shootings come just two months after Toledo leaders unveiled a new anti-gang initiative called T-CIRV.

Sgt. Joe Heffernan with the Toledo Police Department still believes the initiative is working and only time will tell what the true impact will be. Before Monday, Heffernan said there was only one gang-related homicide since T-CIRV began. He said police will use intel gained in the investigation to help prevent future gang shootings.

Jahjuan Davis, who works at a deli near Remy's, said it is getting rough. He does not feel there is much that can clean up the gang violence.

"You're always going to have gangs. You're always going to have shootings. You're always going to have other stuff just with bad area," said Davis.

Authorities are still investigating this shooting. There are no suspects at this time.
