Father, daughter hurt in Perrysburg crash

PERRYSBURG, OH (TOLEDO NEWS NOW) -  Police say 41-year-old Roderick Munro of Grand Rapids, MI was driving a car in Perrysburg when he slammed into a trailer carrying construction equipment. Both he and his daughter were injured.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. Sunday on I-475 northbound near State Route 25. The truck with the construction equipment was stopped due to construction, according to police.

Munro hit the truck, which then became pinned under the trailer. Both Munro and his daughter had to be cut from the vehicle. He was taken to an area hospital by air ambulance with critical injuries. Hi daughter was taken to the hospital by ground ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

No one in the truck was hurt.
