Courier: Marion man drowns after boat capsizes

UPPER SANDUSKY, OH (THE COURIER) - A Marion man died after his boat capsized in the Upper Sandusky reservoir on Wednesday.

Raymond E. Jordan, 66, was removed from the water at 6:36 p.m. and taken to Wyandot Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to Upper Sandusky police.

Although initial reports indicated there were possibly two people in the water, an investigation determined Jordan was the only person on the boat when it capsized, according to police.

The Upper Sandusky Fire Department, Wyandot East Fire Department and the Ohio Division of Watercraft assisted in the investigation and recovery.
