2 BGSU athletes face charges in separate incidents

BOWLING GREEN, OH (TOLEDO NEWS NOW) - Two student athletes at Bowling Green State University are suspended indefinitely from the teams.

Football player Darius Gilbert is accused of assaulting a man over Memorial Day weekend. Police say he took the man's wallet, watch and cell phone. Gilbert turned himself in and now faces a robbery charge. A court date has not been announced.

He played as a reserve defensive tackle.

A reserve freshman on the woman's basketball team faces felony charges. Bowling Green police say Shanique Ogle of Lorain, OH shopped with stolen credit cards.

It's still unclear where she allegedly used the cards or how she got them. Ogle is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
