Minivan goes airborne before crashing into house

Authorities in Danbury Township have confirmed a crash in which a minivan drove off state Route 163, flew into the air and then crashed into a house.

DANBURY TOWNSHIP, OH (Toledo News Now) – Authorities in Danbury Township have confirmed a crash in which a minivan drove off state Route 163, flew into the air and then crashed into a house.

On Thursday at approximately 10:40 a.m. a silver Chevrolet Venture driven by Robert Balduf, of Toledo, was driving eastbound on state Route 163. Balduf swerved off the left side of the road striking a culvert. He then went airborne striking a utility pole and continued east until crashing into a house at the 6000 block E. Harbor Road.

Balduf was transported by Life Flight to a Toledo hospital.

There were two occupants in the house at the time of impact. Sandra Cook was sitting in the room watching TV. She was taken to a Port Clinton hospital as a precaution. Oscar Cook was asleep in the bedroom and was not injured.
