TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) – Toledo Police are calling the death of woman found dead inside a central Toledo home Thursday a murder.

Police received a call Thursday morning stating a man had strangled his girlfriend at a Toledo address, but the address specified did not exist.

The caller provided another address on Foraker Avenue where police also investigated. At that location was the caller's grandparents, who then directed the police to Parkwood Avenue.

Police went to a home in the 3100 block of Parkwood Ave. in the city's Old West End shortly before noon, and found a woman dead inside. She has been identified as Jazmon Hoskins.

Police have a search warrant for Hoskin's boyfriend, 24-year-old Thomas Ellison Jr., in connection with the crime.  Ellison identified himself in the 911 call, according to police.  He is believed to be driving a gray 2012 Ford Focus.

Detectives and the coroner are continuing the investigation.

Neighbors were shocked and described the murder victim as a sweet, quiet woman with a young daughter. They were surprised to learn she had a boyfriend.
