UT sets record for players entering NFL

TOLEDO, OH (TOLEDO NEWS NOW) -  A total of seven University of Toledo football players have signed contracts with NFL teams. That's the most in the school's history.

Over the weekend, Wide receiver Kenny Stafford signed with the Atlanta Falcons. He joins offensive lineman Phillipkeith Manley.

Running back Adonis Thomas signed over the weekend with the Cleveland Browns.

Tight end Danny Noble signed with Tampa Bay last week, joining offensive lineman Mike VanDerMeulen, who signed with the Buccaneers right after the NFL Draft April 29.

Additionally, wide receiver Eric Page signed with the Denver Broncos and defensive back Desmond Marrow inked a deal with the Houston Texans.

These seven players will report to their respective training camps in August in attempt to make the regular-season roster.

Nine former Rockets are currently on NFL rosters, the most of any school in the Mid-American Conference.
