HOLIDAY CITY, OH (Toledo News Now) – The preliminary cause of death of a body found in a Holiday City pond has been determined as drowning.
Identity of the body has not yet been determined.
Police said Monday the body of an adult male was found floating in the retention pond behind the Ramada Inn by two local fishermen shortly before 4 p.m. Holiday City is the last westbound exit on the Ohio turnpike.
The body was transported to the Lucas County Coroner's Office for an autopsy. Preliminary findings are consistent with drowning as the cause of death. The cause and manner will be determined after toxicology and microscopic analysis are completed.
