OREGON, OH (Toledo News Now) – About 5,000 Toledo Edison customers lost power Thursday night, due to a problem at the Bayshore power plant.
At around 9:50 p.m. a problem developed with one of the transmission lines. A spokesperson says the problem was quickly repaired, and power was restored at around 10:15 p.m.
Unfortunately, those 25 minutes caused some residents confusion and inconvenience.
"We came in the house around midnight last night, and the clocks were all blinking. The electricity had evidentially had been off. Then we discovered that our internal phone was not working." Said Oregon resident Karen Proffitt.
Several viewers who do not live in Toledo or Oregon reached out to the Toledo News Now Facebook page, and informed us that their lights flickered at around the same time of the outage.
