Police looking for Wendy's vandal

Toledo police are looking for the person who smashed windows at the Wendy's on Monroe Street in west Toledo Monday morning.

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) – Toledo police are looking for the person who smashed windows at the Wendy's on Monroe Street in west Toledo Monday morning.

The suspect left a message on the rock thrown through a window, and police say this isn't the first time something like this has happened.

The message on the rock, found inside the restaurant, said "From an animal." The person responsible obviously wanted to make a statement.

The restaurant was quick to replace the 5 broken windows. Last November, someone broke windows out using a rock with Nazi swastikas on it.

A brick was also thrown into Zavotski's Custom Meats and Deli the same night last November, and there are two open felony warrants for the suspect, 42 year old Dean Dietrich, from those incidents. Police are attempting to locate Dietrich, and determine if he is responsible for this week's vandalism.

"I know the business is upset about them being targeted and I would be also and we're looking into it and I know we have a suspect in mind so hopefully we'll get closure on this soon." Said Sgt. Joe Heffernan.
