BOWLING GREEN, OH (Toledo News Now) - A 5-month-old is in the hospital with a fractured skull. Bowling Green investigators said they are investigating the injuries.
There are several law enforcement agencies working on this case. They all said they are still in the early stages of the investigation so they do not know much, but they do know enough to be suspicious.
Police said it all started Thursday night when a baby boy was brought to Wood County Hospital. The original report was for seizures, but police said the hospital discovered the infant had a fractured skull and severe bleeding. That is when he was flown to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.
Bowling Green Police said they are working with Wood County Jobs and Family Services, as well as the Wood County Prosecutor's Office. All three agencies said they are in the heart of their investigation as they continue to interview people this week.
The Wood County Prosecutor said the child is still in the hospital but he is unsure about a specific diagnosis.
