BOWLING GREEN, OH (Toledo News Now) – When 11 year-old Eric Rine was born, doctors said he would never run, walk or even talk. Today, Eric is doing all that and more.
Eric was born with a physical deformity that left a hole in his back. He has undergone 20 surgeries in his life, and today is able to walk, talk and even skateboard.
Eric was honored by the Children's Miracle Network Friday as "Ohio Champion". Teachers and friends gathered to tell stories of how Eric has inspired them. As champion, Eric will spend the next year traveling to speak about his experiences with the Children's Miracle Network, visiting Washington D.C. and Disney World.
