MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

A man has been convicted of murdering a Montgomery man on Christmas Day 2011.

Devin Williamson, 24, was convicted Wednesday and will be sentenced April 18, according to Montgomery County D.A. Daryl Bailey.

Jervarin Mushat, 25, was struck in the head by a bullet as he was standing in his yard on Larchmont Drive in west Montgomery.

Bailey said Mushat and Williamson were having an argument about money and when Mushat walked away, Williamson shot him.

Mushat's mother said he was attempting to shield his two small children from bullets when he was struck.
