I bet plenty of times you've cut your spending by a lot more than 3 percent.
Well that's all the Congressional Super Committee was asked to do - trim 3 percent from a $44 trillion dollar spending budget over 10 years.
And they couldn't agree on anything.
All those smart people and they couldn't find 1.2 out of 44! In the end we look as dispirited and incompetent as Greece.
The super committee failed, which sadly, surprised no one.
It sure seems like one more case of politicians putting their careers first and their country second.
