Rossford man accused of rape faces judge for the first time

TOLEDO, OHIO (WTOL) – Billie Noles, of Rossford, is facing a judge for the first time after being accused of raping a five-year-old girl from Lucas County numerous times. Noles was indicted by a grand jury last week and arrested early Tuesday morning at his home. He pled not guilty Wednesday morning but his attorney wants him evaluated to determine if he is competent to stand trial.

Noles may have confessed to one of four counts, but could spend the rest of his life behind bars if he is found guilty on all four counts. According to the indictment, Noles committed his crimes between February and April of 2006.

Prosecutors said the mother of the child allowed Noles to baby sit and it was the grandparents who suspected something and contacted authorities. Noles would entice the young girl with ice cream.

The judge issued Noles a $400,000 bond and a blood sample must be provided.

Noles will be back in court later this month.
