The US Senior Open is in town this week. This a rare and wonderful opportunity for Northwest Ohio to receive national and international exposure.
The area is buzzing with thousands of visitors. Restaurants and hotels are full. The cash is flowing.
This is also a chance for each of us to help refute the Forbes magazine article that declared Toledo to be the 12th most miserable city in America.
When you bump into visitors, smile, be friendly. Encourage them to like you. Help them understand what a great place Northwest Ohio is.
I don't think most of us are miserable.
Let's make sure the attention we receive this week is responded to by friendly, upbeat, positive people.
