WTOL Editorial: New casino on track to bring $300 million investment to Toledo

Several of the top people from Penn Gaming were in town this week.

They stopped by WTOL 11 to update us on the casino, and to introduce the new general manager, Richard St. Jean.

St. Jean participated in an extended question and answer segment with Brad Harvey. You can see it this Sunday at 11 a.m. on "The Leading Edge."

The good news is the casino is right on track to open next year as planned. The $300 million dollar investment is real.

Toledo will be the site of the first casino in Ohio. Combine this $300 million with the $250 million dollars of planned investment in the Marina District and all of sudden, the riverfront is some pretty hot property.

These investments should be the building blocks to a new and vibrant northwest Ohio.  Isn't that nice to say.
