WTOL Editorial: Gov. Kasich's Jobs Ohio a great idea

I suppose most of you are just as tired as I am of Ohio losing jobs to other regions and states.

Somehow, in spite of the incredible natural advantages Ohio has to offer, we just don't seem to sell the state well.

In an effort to turn things around, Governor Kasich's development team launches jobs Ohio this summer. It is supposed to radically change how the state of Ohio invests in the process of growing business and creating jobs.

The governor believes that Ohio has been too passive in pursuing new industries and has moved too slowly to help existing businesses expand.

Jobs Ohio will focus all of its resources on creating jobs. It sounds like a great idea. And it won't be too difficult to grade the results.

The recent decision of ProMedica's Board of Trustees to enter into a transfer agreement with Capital Care Network, Toledo's last remaining abortion facility, just doesn't make sense.
