Bissell PowerEdge Hard Floor Vacuum: Does it Work?

(WTOL) - If you're doing some fall cleaning like sweeping your hardwood or tile floors and hate using a broom, the Bissell Versus Bare Floor Vacuum might be for you.

The vacuum promises to clean your hardwood, tile and laminate floors. This year, the company says it's improved its product, even changing its look.

Valerie Phillips has no issues putting the vacuum together and she likes its suction power.

"That's awesome," said Valerie after giving the PowerEdge a whirl.

Valerie is in the process of re-stripping her hardwood floors she purposely left dirt for our test. It picked up the dirt under the furniture and big pieces of dog food.

She also found it easy to maneuver in tight places and says it works around corners, which is one of its big selling points.

Valerie equally likes the PowerEdge's performance on her laminate kitchen floor and collected a lot of dirt and debris.

"Grab it and go. That's easy cleaning instead of bending down, sweeping it and dumping it," she said.

Valerie likes it better than her Swiffer Sweeper as says this year's model is an improvement over last year's.

In fact, the old Bissell Versus earned a 'B' because it did not pick up all of the dirt during its test.

As for the PowerEdge, it does have more sucking power, it's more lightweight, and it's $30 cheaper than the Versus.

The $50 Bissell PowerEdge doesn't cut corners here and has the edge earning an 'A' on this Does it Work test.
