WTOL Editorial: Vote in the upcoming election

By WTOL Vice President and General Manager Bob Chirdon - email

The very economic and social future for Ohio, Michigan and maybe the entire country will be affected by your choices.

A case can be made that Ohio is the ultimate swing state in Presidential elections.

Next year, the newly-elected statewide officers will determine the new voting districts in the state; which has huge Presidential election ramifications.

Your vote will make a difference for at least the next 10 years. That is a tremendous responsibility and a wonderful opportunity.

Do the right thing and read about the candidates, decide who you like and go vote.

If you don't, you are permitting someone else's voice to speak for you. I just don't think that's a risk worth taking.

Be smart and vote on Election Day.
