WTOL Editorial: Don't give up the fight against breast cancer

This past Sunday's Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure was once again a remarkable success as more than 19,000 folks paid the entry fee to be counted as they walked or ran.

I think what participants really paid for was hope for survivors and their families and friends that one day breast cancer will no longer shatter and end lives.

And as she has for each of the 17 years of this event, WTOL-11's Chrys Peterson was everywhere.

For Chrys and all of WTOL-11, this day is special. As I walked up Summit Street and thousands of people poured by, I was moved by your energy and spirit.

The participants' collective message was personal and powerful: don't give up.
