TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - Toledo police arrested 42-year-old Henry Lee Jackson Thursday in connection to a suspicious fire on Thayer Street in south Toledo.

Neighbors reported they saw Jackson at a vacant house both before and after the fire that began about 9:30 a.m.

Toledo Police Chief Mike Navarre said in a news conference that Jackson is believed to be homeless. He is believed to have lived in a vacant home on Potter Street in east Toledo.

He does not have an extensive criminal history. It does include breaking and entering.

Jackson has not been connected to any other suspected arsons. However, investigators did say they believe he covered doors and windows to prep the house for burning. They say other arsons in the area have had similar activity at the scene.
