2 tablespoons sesame seeds
2 tablespoons dark sesame oil
2 tablespoons peanut oil
1 1/2 pounds medium fresh shrimp, shelled and de-veined
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 garlic clove, very finely chopped
Sprinkle sesame seeds in a single layer in a small frying pan and place over medium heat. Watch carefully. In a minute or two seeds will begin to brown. Stir seeds with a wooden spoon and remove pan from heat. Allow to cool.
In a large frying, combine the sesame and peanut oils and heat over a medium to high heat until very hot.
Add all the shrimp, green onions, pepper, soy sauce, garlic and brown sugar. Stir fry until the shrimp are done, 2 - 3 minutes. Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the shrimp and toss to coat. Serve immediately.
