1 sheet of puff pastry dough
1 pound brie cheese (round)
4 ounces granulated sugar
2 ounce spice wine
1 ounce butter
4 ounces sliced apples
2 ounces chopped pecans
Allow pastry dough to thaw for about 15 - 20 minutes.
Remove the Brie cheese from the round can and place on the puff pastry sheet. Stretch the puff pastry dough around the entire brie with all the folded sides facing down. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees, then place the wrapped Brie on a porcelain dish and bake for 10 minutes.
In a skillet add the sugar, apples, butter and spice wine. Cook on high heat until sugar is carmelized. Spread evenly over serving dish.
Then remove the baked Brie from the oven and place on top of the carmelized sugar and apples.
In a separate pan heat the carmel sauce and drizzle over the baked Brie and top with chopped pecan pieces.
