(WTOL) - A team of meteorologists with the National Weather Service (NWS) determined the intensity of the tornado that touched down in northeast Wood County and western Ottawa County is rated as an EF4 tornado.
It had winds of 170-175 miles per hour as it moved through the area at approximately 11:20 p.m., leaving an 8-10 mile trail of destruction.
According to the NWS, the tornado first touched down near I-80 and Oregon Road (east of Perrysburg.) It moved through the south side of Moline, then near Toledo Executive Airport (formerly Metcalf Field.) The tornado continued across the northwest side of Millbury and then crossed into Ottawa County, following Trowbridge Road. It lifted at approximately 11:35 p.m., just west of Clay Center.
The two tornadoes that touched down in Fulton County and Monroe County have been rated EF2 in intensity, which means they had winds of 111-135 miles per hour.
