WTOL Editorial: Best of the Class honors valedictorians

On May 17, WTOL-11 and The Ohio Lottery will honor, as we have done for decades, local high school class valedictorians.

These valedictorians made the choice to be dedicated to academic excellence every day in every class. And each one of them has met the rigorous standards required to be valedictorian.

This year the event will be held at the Imagination Station where the students will get a pizza lunch and also a chance to explore the science center.

Also, a big part of the day is getting to star in a commercial and taking a picture with our very own Chrys Peterson and Jerry Anderson.

Best of all, everything is archived on WTOL.com which means family and friends from anywhere can visit our website and access pictures and videos.

If your child is the class valedictorian register at our Best of the Class link. It takes only a few  minutes -- and I promise it will be worth it.

The recent decision of ProMedica's Board of Trustees to enter into a transfer agreement with Capital Care Network, Toledo's last remaining abortion facility, just doesn't make sense.
