TOLEDO, Ohio (WTOL) - The Lucas County Health Department is looking into whether a  pregnant Springfield Township woman died from the H1N1 virus.

Mandy Kimbler, 24, died Thursday, Nov., 5 at Toledo Hospital. Relatives of Kimbler say she had been hospitalized with flu-like complications and delivered twin sons prematurely on Oct. 26. They say she had bronchitis and pneumonia.

Health department workers have sent samples for analysis to see if Kimbler was infected with the H1N1 virus. They won't know the results for a few more days.

Dr. David Grossman from the Lucas County Health Department is urging all pregnant women and their spouses to get the H1N1 vaccine. "When you're pregnant, there's an alteration to the immune system that tends to make it difficult for these women to handle certain viral infections," he said.

The twin boys, Bradley and Braden, remain hospitalized as preemies, relatives say. Kimbler also had a 3-year-old daughter.

The family has set up a donation fund at Key Bank in Mandy's name. The donations will go toward funeral expenses and assistance for the children.

Kimbler was a 2003 graduate of Woodward High School.
