A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Dr. Gbur completed his undergraduate studies at Youngstown State University. He received his Doctorate from The Ohio State University where he also completed his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency. Dr. Gbur went on to complete his fellowship in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at The Medical College of Virginia. He is also a graduate of the United States Naval War College and Joint Forces Staff College.
He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine with special interests in Cardiac and Peripheral Interventions, Stroke Intervention and Vascular Medicine. Dr. Gbur is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a Fellow of the American College of Angiology and a member of the American Medical Association, and the Ohio State Medical Association. Dr. Gbur is also a retired CDR in the United States Navy.
