TOLEDO (WTOL) - Toledoans who want to vote early will have to wait a little longer to start casting their ballots for the November election.
The delay is being caused by the city council primary race. Click on the link to see the official results for the city council primary.
The Lucas County Board of Elections (BOE) meets Monday, September 28 to talk about a recount of the primary election results. The BOE says the recount of the city council race is mandatory by Ohio Election Law because the number of votes were so close.
Director Linda Howe said the recount won't change much but will delay printing of absentee ballots in the general election. "Obviously we can't put out a ballot until we know who is going to be on it," said Howe.
