Konop wants incentives for grocery stores in low-income neighborhoods

TOLEDO (WTOL) - Democratic mayoral candidate Ben Konop and Reverend Donald Perryman are teaming up to help bring more grocery stores to struggling Toledo neighborhoods.

The plan is to offer tax incentives to get local and national grocers to open up in certain low-income neighborhoods.

Konop says similar efforts to get grocery stores into lower income areas are underway in New York City and the State of Pennsylvania.
