CANTON, OH (WOIO) - A local judge orders a man's mouth to be duct-taped after the defendant wouldn't zip it in court.
Canton Municipal Court Judge Stephen F. Belden ordered Bailiff Jeffery Smith to cover defendant Harry Brown's mouth with duct-tape after Brown continued to argue with the judge about appointing new council to Brown's case.
Judge Belden warned Brown several times not to interrupt and keep to himself, but Brown continued arguing.
The duct-tape remained in place until the conclusion of the hearing.
Brown is charged with robbery and obstructing official business after fighting with Wal-Mart security guards who were trying to prevent Brown from shoplifting at the Tuscarawas Street West store on Aug. 20th.
