PERRYSBURG (WTOL) - In a tough economy, some businesses close and some businesses downsize.

But at least one Toledo business simply moved from Central Ave. to downtown Perrysburg.

"Instead of $150 as the average price point, it is now $50, so (business) has changed dramatically," said Mona Shousher with Loft and Home Essentials, explaining why her shop changed locations.

To make sure customers follow the store, Shousher informed them of the move.

"When we sent out an e-mail to our customer base to let them know we were moving, the next day, I received 200 emails and phone calls and I did not get one negative response."

Shousher says her lease on Central was coming to an end so she sought out a new space for a new start -- and Perrysburg just fit the bill.

"We came in, fell in love with it. It fits perfectly for us."

And for fellow downtown Perrysburg business owners and residents, a new store like Loft and Home Essentials is a welcome addition.

Shousher is confident her business will survive -- and thrive.

"It's kind of scary but... you know what, I really don't have any doubt whatsoever that this is going to be it for us, that this is a great match."
